Thank you so much Shrub for sharing. Trading for 3 years and keep screwing things up. I want to give up now.

Almost nobody NOBODY should trade markets professionally. Same as almost nobody should play football or basketball professionally.

No shame in that. And doesn't mean you are stupid or bad if shouldn't do it professionally.

Only stupid thing is keep trying if shouldn't do it for money and time that affects life quality.

Some of the smartest people in the world are horrible traders.

Isaac Newton smartest person on the planet at the time lost all his savings trading South Sea Bubble.

No shame in it, but quit if not working out.

I never seen a close personal friend turn the corner so odds are against.

Hello! Last spring, I also suffered a large loss in an ETF hedged with Japanese yen, code-named TLT (2621), and to find out why, I searched Twitter for people with extremely high prediction accuracy rates in the past. , I started following Sir Shrub and his friends.

As you know, Sir Shrub's prediction accuracy rate is extremely high, and his posts are also very unique and easy to understand, so he quickly became a big fan. Also, as a poor Japanese person, it is difficult to purchase expensive paid subscriptions, especially with the recent depreciation of the yen, but Sir Shrub has provided us with such a wonderful Shrubstack for free. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for what you do. After following the posts and warnings of Sir Shrub and his friends, I no longer lost much money and started to enjoy investing a little more. I think learning investment attitudes while listening to the advice of people with high prediction accuracy, including Sir Shrub, will lead to important risk management.

I would show a podcast like this to my own friends or family.

Yes. I am glad that I found Mr. Shrub. He is so nice to provide his knowledge and I was just too stupid to manage my acct correctly. I have been saying quit trading for a while but I kept getting sucked back in. I just hope I will get my light bulb moment at some point in near future. And again I thank you, Mr Shrub so much

I've been doing this for over 40 years. I love the intellectual challenge and I'm still learning every day. The biggest hit to my wealth by far has been to be a long term investor in a fund run by an old friend who is one of the smartest guys I know and was a #1 ranked commodities analyst. It took me a long time to realise that, not only did he have terrible timing, but his underlying motivation was not to make money overall as much as it was to prove he was smarter than everyone else in finding one tiny stock that might be a 10-20 bagger. Zero risk control. So yeah, it's not about brains, it's much more about emotional control, curiosity, and understanding risk/reward.

And if you want to continue trading, following Master Shrub is essential. He's rewarding in so many ways, far more than just monetarily.
