The same cannot be said for the majority of market participants, with many experiencing nasty drawdowns. Unfortunately, most of them still suffer from a very contagious and troubling disease called “Bag-7-itis”, defined by Shrubipedia as such:
BAG-7-ITIS (noun; pronounced “Bag-seven-itis”): A disease affecting monkeys that are pre-conditioned to buy-the-dip in the Bag7 stocks, completely oblivious that there is an investment universe outside the Bag7 and the US.
Right now, I think of those suffering from “Bag-7-itis” as the “Karens” of the Finance World: they stubbornly oppose any debate, they are tone-deaf to what’s happening around them and they are destined for failure. Oh well, can’t please them all!
