The EU requires the US defense shield. And if we are to believe the media, they are scared to the core of Putin and an advance on the European heartland by the Russians.
The Chinese, with their eyes on Taiwan, is now seeing how poor their "advanced" weaponry is doing in the Pakistan-Indian War against advanced Western Weapons.
Also, the tax legislation, when it passes, will lift the debt ceiling which will mean Treasury will start refilling its TGA (liquidity negative). And, they will be asking Klaus to help finance 8% deficits in a currency that just went through a -10% drawdown over three months. It could be setting up for quite the “Liz Truss moment.” But, then again, nothing ever happens, so this too will probably be a nothingburger.
