May Day, May Day!

Happy “May Day” to those who celebrate!

That is, mostly everyone in the World except the USA…

…where incidentally, the holiday originated from back in 1886, to commemorate a general Strike demanding an 8-hour day for the Working Class!

Ironically, the Trade War also originated from the USA, yet everyone seems like a winner out of it except the USA, at least market-wise:

• YTD performance: S&P -5%, Nasdaq -10%, DAX +13%, HSI +10%, Brazil +12%.

At least now we know why that is. As Trump clarified yesterday, so far this was “Biden’s Market”:

*TRUMP: “THIS IS BIDEN'S STOCK MARKET, NOT TRUMP'S”

Phew!!! I hope he tells us when the “Trump Market” begins!

I think Trump should make it easier for us with certain Executive Orders (as if we don’t have enough of them):

Executive Order #1: A “Red Day” shall henceforth be referred to as “Biden’s Market”, a “Green Day” shall henceforth be referred to as “Trump’s Market”.

Executive Order #2: "It's so Over" shall henceforth be referred to as "It's so Biden", "We are so Back" shall henceforth be referred to as "We are so TRUMP"

Executive Order #3: In the spirit of Executive Order #1, the band “Green Day” shall henceforth be referred to as “Trump Day”.

Executive Order #4: The “Red Room” from “The Shining” shall henceforth be referred to as the “Biden Room”.

I can keep going, but it will only get worse, so I’ll leave it there!

Meanwhile, the Shrub Portfolio is “green as a shrub” (or should I say “green as a Trump”? ok ok I’ll stop!).

We give thanks to the Barbell approach of the “BBBB-Barbell Portfolio” ™️with a healthy dose of GAG ™️allocation (aka Golden Age of Grift).

We recently updated the Portfolio as such:

• Called the bottom in Biotech in “Only Monkeys and Shrubs pick Bottoms”

• Added 3 new trades and sized up the GAG trade in “Inspiration” and “GAG can lead to GASP”.

Once again, people miss the point of why I’m so oversized in GAG, so let me clarify:

• You can be a monkey and try to call tops and bottoms in the Indices, depending on whether you think it’s a “Biden Market” or a “Trump Market”…

• …or you can just sit on a healthy allocation of GAG and cash, which limit your downside while providing GAG upside.

• After all, what’s better than GAG upside in a Trump Market?!
