Inflation review (spoiler alert: yea it was rigged)

During our last post, we discussed how the Inflation data is “kinda rigged”, how it’s forecasted badly by Wall Street economists and how it’s traded mostly by people that used to be smart but are now acting like monkeys.

I just had a realization of what this setup reminds me of:

It reminds me of a wealthy old man that has a much younger gold-digger girlfriend. She tells him that she loves him. He doesn’t really believe it, but he loves hearing it. So he plays along. She gets what she wants and he gets what he wants. It’s all superficial, but short-term everyone is a winner. Long-term is a different story. This deserves a meme:
