The CPI came in hot hot hot at 0.4% MoM vs expectations of 0.3% MoM.
Shrubstack readers are well aware that inflation ex-chocolate, ex-gasoline, ex-copper, ex-tin, ex-anything-the-Plebs-use has been rising.
This has been very beneficial to my portfolio but not good for the inflation print!
I had a discussion with a good friend last night, who is also heavily invested in real assets, about the possible impact of CPI on our portfolios. We both arrived at the same conclusion:
“I DON’T CARE!”
