“My stream of thoughts is 100% Organic and AI can go reboot itself!” - Le Shrub
One of my greatest fears with AI is that we completely sacrifice whatever Common Sense we have left, just to make our lives easier.
After all, we are what we think, we are what we have learned, we are what we have experienced.
Outsourcing this activity of learning will eventually makes us either a) dumb, or b) someone else or, even worse, c) someone else but dumber!
We saw examples of this on Friday after Jackson Hole, both on the Macro and on the Micro level, which is what got me to write again on a fine Sunday morning.
Trading Week
First of all, a quick review of the trading week in the shrub portfolio. I was going through my trades and it stood out that my decision-making was almost automatic:
Closed KYIV because it had a +40% rally in two weeks
Sold half the LULU calls because they returned 2x
Closed half the Nasdaq Puts because they returned 2x (then I closed the rest for an overall profit, once the Jackson Hole risk event was out of the way)
Closed the Nasdaq funding short because it made a profit of 500 points
Cleaned up a few winning “singles” like Valterra (ticker: ANGPY) and Whitefiber (ticker: WYFI)
There wasn’t much thinking involved here. Rather, it was just sticking to the rules of MY Game!
Booking gains along the way, making trades “free”, both in Puts & Calls and Stocks & Futures, is what my game plan is, for the simple reason that it helps me from over-thinking it after a point, because I’ve already won from there on!
KISS = Keep It Simple Shrub!
Now lets get back to it, and review Friday’s Artificial Stupidity.
